PORT OF STURGEON BAY

The port of Sturgeon Bay is the location of the premier shipbuilding and ship repair facility on Lake Michigan. In business since 1968, Bay Shipbuilding (a division of Fincantieri Marine Group) is an industry leader in the construction and repair of large ships. Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding handles a wide variety of vessels, including self-unloading bulk carriers, tankers, barges, dredges and offshore support vessels. The port is also home to three U.S. Coast Guard units, including Coast Guard Station Sturgeon Bay, Marine Safety Detachment Sturgeon Bay, and Coast Guard Cutter Mobile Bay.
